WINDING PATH

My First Complete Game Development Project

At the beginning of 2025, my friend and I decided to develop Winding Path, a 2D arcade game created in C# on Unity, inspired by pixel art aesthetics. The player takes on the role of a young driver guided by his father during his first journey. Through progressive gameplay, we aimed to create an immersive experience combining driving, visibility management, and stress through evolving game conditions.

The player moves a car laterally to avoid obstacles, while the game window gradually shrinks to increase the difficulty. Dialogue boxes and weather effects, such as rain and lightning, disrupt visibility and intensify the pressure on the player.

We implemented random generation mechanics for the roads and obstacles, using dynamic Bézier curves, creating a unique experience in every game. Combined with an adaptive soundtrack produced in FL Studio, we crafted an evolving atmosphere that grows and shifts with the player's journey.
